Invensas shows New xFD Customer Products with Etron Technology, including Server Memory Modules, at CES, Las Vegas

SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)— Invensas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tessera Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSRA), will display its latest xFDTM design wins and product implementations at CES Las Vegas, January 7 – 10, 2014, including server module solutions featuring standard registered Dual Inline Memory Modules (R-DIMMs) in collaboration with semiconductor manufacturer Etron Technology and module manufacturer ADATA Technology and featuring Invensas xFD TM technology. xFD technology connects memory chips in an face-down shingle-stack configuration using ultra-short wire-bonds. The solution significantly reduces component assembly cost, while offering superior electrical and thermal properties when used in server applications. Invensas xFD TM R-DIMMs are currently in evaluation at major server OEMs and ODMs

“We are pleased to see the rapid progress of our partners to adopt and productize xFDTM technology into the production of mission critical R-DIMM memory modules supplied to the largest of the cloud computing system server and datacenter manufacturers” said Simon McElrea, President of Invensas Corporation.

“InvensasxFD TM technology plays a vital role in minimizing manufacturing cost while enhancing electrical and thermal performance versus conventional technology,” said Dr. James Sung, President of Etron Technology. “We have seen significant interest from semiconductor memory users with Invensas xFD TM technology.”

Invensas will display the novel technology with Etron Technology, Inc. in the Etron Booth #35116 LVCC, South Hall 4, Las Vegas, NV, on May 28 – 31, 2013. More details on xFD TM and additional InvensasxFD TM solutions can be found at www.invensas.com.
