Together, they will co-develop a series of intelligent transport and robot base subsystems built around domestically developed chips and sensing technologies. By combining strengths in semiconductors, optics, and mechanical design, the partnership aims to deliver standardized platforms that are “ready to customize and ready to build upon,” accelerating deployment timelines for logistics, outdoor inspection, campus services, and industrial automation applications.
Several development projects are planned under this collaboration, covering different load capacities and application scenarios. One example is an intelligent mobile carrier with dual-mode navigation: SLAM-based navigation for indoor environments, and satellite or multi-source positioning for outdoor use. Integrated with diverse sensors and eYs3D’s AI computing units, this robot base can be flexibly deployed across factories, campuses, warehouses, and public spaces. Future extensions will address additional sizes and load levels, forming a complete family of domestically developed AMR/AGV bases.
All subsystems are powered by eYs3D’s proprietary robot control chips and AI sensing modules, combined with Asia Optical’s expertise in lens and 3D sensing module design and manufacturing. From “chip, module, to base,” the solutions are fully developed in Taiwan. With pre-integrated drive, navigation, and safety mechanisms, system integrators and brand customers only need to design the mechanical, exterior, and application layers on top of the base to quickly launch transport and service robots tailored to their brand positioning and scenario needs.
