COMPUTEX, Taipei, June 2015— Etron Technology, Inc. (Taiwan GTSM: 5351) today announced that the company’s leading USB Type-C™ Switch and Power Delivery Semiconductor Controller EJ988— which supports USB Type-C reversible connectors on both ends, permits PD of 5 Amps at 20 Volts to reach a maximum of 100 watts, and provides rapid data transfer speeds of up to USB 3.1 Gen 2 10 Gb/s — received the Best Choice Golden Award of COMPUTEX 2015. The EJ988 is highly suitable for compact mobile devices and wearables. The listing applications are as follows: PC, NB, tablet system side high speed data and power transfer, HDD enclosure, power bank device side quick battery charging and data storage, etc.
