For further information, please visit www.etron.com.tw.[Smart Medical Electronics Segment at Smart Living Expo]Gesutre Control for Surgical Operation Support System aimed at the Medical Surgery MarketEtron’s 3D vision & sense sub-system is used in surgical operation support systems in Japan for surgical operating room disinfection control: this involves surgical glove management and waste medical items to avoid contamination or the spread of infection. Gesture control is considered to be imperative in maintaining hygiene and the best way to avoid contact-based contamination. Etron’s 3D vision & sense ICs and module is ideal for running intensive depth-map computing algorithms on the controller itself, thus reserving critical CPU resources for other uses. By connecting to two sensors using either parallel or MIPI interfaces, it can execute sophisticated parallel computational algorithms, providing high performance output of depth-map images for further use in gesture control. Etron’s 3D vision and sensing sub-system executes sophisticated parallel computational algorithms, and outputs high performance depth-map images of up to HD resolution of 720p at 60 frames per second, or FHD resolution at 1080p at 30 frames per second.
